Welcome to The Melting Pot in Scottsdale.

The Melting Pot Restaurant is where fun is cooked up fondue style!

We are sure that you’ve never had a dining experience quite like ours. The atmosphere is elegant and romantic, yet relaxing and fun. Our leisurely dining pace fares well with events such as birthdays, anniversaries, rehearsal dinners and holidays. However, don’t let that stop you from coming in on a Tuesday night for a glass of Graystone Merlot or an Arizona Craft Beer, and some chocolate fondue with an old friend!

As for our food, that’s the main focus. We begin your four-course experience by preparing fresh cheese fondue tableside. Whether you are a swiss, cheddar, or butterkaase fan, we can create the cheese you only dream about! Fresh and unique salads help to prepare you for the delightful steak, seafood, and vegetables you are about to enjoy. While each perfectly cooked morsel is being simmered in one of our flavorful cooking styles; browse through our chocolate fondue menu to decide which of the 9 options suits your craving. Want your meal gluten free? Ask for our gluten-free menu.

The Scottsdale location is conveniently located on Hayden Road and Via de Ventura, just south of the 101 and right around the corner from the Salt River Fields Resort and Casino. Only six miles away from all of the unique night life that Old Town Scottsdale has to offer. Whether you just came from a movie at the Ultra Star Theater on Indian Bend or are planning on heading to The Mint Nightclub on Camelback for some more cocktails, the Melting Pot in Scottsdale is guaranteed to satisfy your taste buds for the entire evening. Whether you are celebrating a special occasion, or simply celebrating Friday night, The Melting Pot is known as a dinner to dine for.

Traditional Swiss Fondue

3 1/2 cups         Swiss cheese, shredded

                            2 tbsp         All-purpose flour

                            1 cup         White wine

                            2 tbsp         Lemon juice, fresh

                            2 tsp         Garlic, finely chopped

1 oz         Cherry-flavored liqueur (Kirschwasser recommended)

                            1/2 tsp         Pepper, freshly ground

                            Dash         Nutmeg, grated

 •            Toss the cheese with the flour in a bowl. Place a metal bowl over a saucepan filled with two inches of water. You may also use a conventional double boiler. Bring the water to a boil over high heat. Reduce the heat to medium and pour the wine into the bowl. Stir in the lemon juice and garlic using a fork. Cook for 30 seconds stirring constantly.

•            Add half of the cheese, and stir constantly until the cheese is melted. Add the remaining cheese a small amount at a time stirring constantly. Pour the liqueur slowly around the edge of the bowl. Pull the cheese mixture away from the edge of the bowl and cook for about one minute or until the alcohol cooks off. Stir the liqueur into the cheese. Stir the pepper in gently. Pour into a warm fondue pot and keep warm over low heat. Garnish with a dash of nutmeg.
